This service is aimed at nursing homes, assisted living institutions and senior citizens‘ centres run by neighbourhood help groups, churches or similar institutions. It is of course also available to private groups. It sets a slower pace than our regular adult tours, allowing less mobile seniors to enjoy their museum experience without feeling harried.
It is possible to book a tour in the following languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic and Hungarian; please book well in advance and make sure you have alternate dates, as availability depends on the schedules of our foreign-language guides.
The size of your group should not exceed 10-20 people per tour. If possible, plan your visit for a weekday afternoon when the museum is less crowded. Tickets to the museum are reduced price for senior citizens; the tour itself lasts about 60 minutes and costs 70 €.
Please mention if your group includes wheelchairs when booking; the museum is entirely wheelchair-accessible but the guide will need to know there are people using the lift. Additionally, a limited amount of wheelchairs and walking frames can be taken out at the front desk; portable folding stools are available at the entrance to the exhibition halls.
